I recorded people blowing up fireworks in my neighborhood last night with a zoom 6 using the stereo mics. Then i isolated individual sounds and tweaked the eq some in adobe audition, then ran those sounds back-to-back to make these "machine gun" sounds. Let me know what you think? Horse racing: a girl wearing a tap-dancing shoe ran on a wooden board, tapping her instep and heel at different moments to look like a galloping horse. Horseshoe sound as it runs. So this is my attempt in making a crowd sound effect. It really didn't sound like a people's crowd since i said "walla" too loud in some clips. There are approximately 28 clips in that sound varying from 15 to 17 seconds. Also, i combined another crowd sound effect which i created in 3ml editor and edited in both audacity and adobe audition to make it longer. All (with the exception of the earlier crowd sound effect i did) was combined in audacity.

This recording was made by me on monday, october 20th, at approximately 7:30pm. It was done in my house in montgomery county, pa, with a rode ixy mic (the 30 pin version), attached to an iphone 4s. The iphone, with the mic, was placed on the sink, approximately 6 to 8 inches away from the toilet. Here is 15 minutes of ambient sound recorded around 5 am on october 10th, 2011. I used a shure sm58 microphone through a native instruments audio 8 dj interface. Without a microphone amplifier or my active microphone ready to use i ended up amplifying this about 52 db then removed the extraneous noise by 80% @ 40 db using the noise reduction plug-in in adobe audition cs5. 5. Third in a series of 3 consecutive recordings of the sound of summer birdsong in a suburban english setting. This one prominently features the sound of water flushing through an outside kitchen drain into an alleyway. Common suburban evening birdsong can be heard clearly throughout with distant traffic noise in the background. Recorded on a summer evening in june 2016 in southern england using a rode nt-4 microphone in a rycote lyre shock mount, marantz pmd661 and edited using adobe audition.

This is a recording of a slow freight train passing from about 50 feet away using the internal mics of a tascam dr-40. The recording was made in southern mississippi, usa. The train was going down a gentle slop, around a bend. The engines can be heard approaching and passing, followed by the various sounds made by the wheels as the individual cars pass. We where located in the news media viewing area called nasa causeway. This as close as anyone can get to the launch. This was the maiden voyage of the orion spacecraft, and one of the very few delta iv heavy launches. In the beginning of recording you hear nasa announcer giving countdown into loud speakers, when you reach around the 1min 50 sec mark the true booster engine sound overtakes the pa system. One of my favorite sounds of spring and summer is the beautiful night-hawk. Around dusk they patrol the skies over generally open areas searching for insects. They actually seem to prefer areas where there are man-made structures; that's why you will hear them often in town, especially near baseball/softball fields where the big banks of lights attract their food source. They really do seem fond of and are quite common around towns and cities. Plus, another amazing fact that i read on the cornell ornithology website is that these birds do not build a nest, rather the female simply lays her eggs directly on the ground, and lets camouflage do the rest!. This recording was captured by my h4n using my rode nt4 microphone mounted inside a parabolic dish. Other than simply boosting the level by about 10 db using adobe audition 3. 0, i did no other processing to this file. An experimental sound i did. It kinda sound like some space jet or something, i don't know. But yeah, it's experimental. To make the sound, first, i recorded the wind coming from my electric fan, then i edited it in adobe auditions cs6, then audacity for the final touches.

A 5 minute sound file made by muting the strings of one of my banjos and playing a small range of finger patterns in mixed order. Recorded direct to my computer with a few adobe auditions effects added to enhance the sound. A great fit to a short story or thought-provoking piece of work.
